Family Camp Part VI-Return Trip Home...

On our way home, we went into town to
buy a squash and check it out...

Impressive squash!

This place also sold watermelon and dried rattlesnake skins...
The church on the square.

And, of course, more beautiful scenery!
I love this little ranch tucked under that hill...

Looks like a great place for a cookout and a swim!
Since we live in a pretty dry area, rivers like
this are few and far between!

More rock fences...so picturesque...

Greetings! Glad you are enjoying the blog...it's not a huge secret where we are, but for security's sake, I just don't put it out there openly...we're in Chihuahua City. We'd love to visit more of Mexico, though, just haven't gotten around to it yet! Where are you located at?

we are in Doctor Arroyo, NL. Just find Matehuala, SLP and go east about 40 km. No Soriana here - but I'm really OK with that. We operate a bookstore, teach english and a hodgepodge of other little things. Do y'all have a viable christian bookstore in Chihuahua City? Just curious.

Wow, no Soriana! Is it a big town or rather small? Ch. City is pretty big, we pretty much are 'spoiled' over here! lol

I know that there is at least one good Christian bookstore here, maybe more. Miguel knows more about that since he's the one who gets out more...he came home yesterday with some really cute little Christian coloring books and a shirt from somewhere.

Miguel is actually becoming somewhat of a bookstore himself because he's been ordering books, Bibles, etc. and selling them here! There's quite a market just in our church alone, and also at our Bible institute. Right now we're waiting on a case of The Lamb books from Goodseed, he's already sold 12 of the 16 that come in a case!

I know what you mean about doing a 'hodge-podge' of other 'little' ministry things...that's about where we're at now since our primary ministry doesn't really fill up Miguel's time completely...maybe I should write about everything he does, sometimes it amazes me! :)

Well... Matehuala has a soriana and a walmart, but we don't like going to matehuala - we probably go to texas as often as we go to matehuala! (yikes). I like shopping in the small stores- its quick, i am getting to know people, and my favorite store is right across the street from teh bookstor. If you are buying lots of books - you will get a really nice discount (there are levels) from maranatha in Monterrey - the shipping isn't bad... email me if you want more. laura at dayspring dot us I'd like to hear more about your ministry - eventually i'll read more of your old blogs...
